Have try putting dvd into pc and importing via itunes but doesnt work, can the iphone not play handle the dvd or do i need to rip the dvd using some software? any ideas??

Rip it then convert to mp4 using handbrake.use dvd shrink to make the dvd a good size too.

I use DVDDecrypter to rip to a single VOB file then PSPVideo 9 to get it into a PSP MP4. Check, but I think Ipods can play PSP MP4, but I cant do it the other way. All freeware.

Rip it onto your computer and then use a converter such as Videora Ipod Converter (free download) to convert the file into an mpeg4 file.

copy the vob fiel to your pc, change the name to .mp4 instead of .vob and elt itunes do the rest.
