Flying to the US for a week for work tomorrow. Your picture is like me looking into my own future as I will be spending the weekend in my hotel in Powerpoint hell.

No, I can't even be arsed to make the bed - and working nights, I have a 'do not disturb' on the door, so don't even have a polish maid to do it for me

I'm relaxing having done two interval sessions on the CXer this morning. I have tea, a large ham sandwich, a house with only me in, a very large sofa, and just queued up The Barber of Sevilla on iTunes.

Good Night.

It's horrible. Horrible.

I'm sitting in my kitchen so all good here

If you're in Epping trying to kill time, just go for a walk outside! It's a bit windy but the woods are lovely and will always be nicer than a hotel room. Particularly if you have a bike, though they're still good on foot

It was spitting when I went to Tesco Express in Theydon Bois - was considering taking the camera into the woods, but considering every night this week is being spent on a windy, wet motorway slip road, I CBA

Might try and bring the bike next week if it's going to be nice

I'm in the office watching cyclists go past my window but, my wife has just popped in with our 5 month old baby.

As such, i'm looking at a dribbling mess that's stuffing socks into her mouth.

I'm in an office, overlooking a very grey and dank Waterloo station.

Still, it's an improvement over earlier this morning, when I nipped down to the bathroom for a wazz - someone in there was obviously fighting a losing battle with a particularly stubborn turd, with the predictable collateral farting damage.

The noise was akin to a dozen Cossack dancers drunkenly attempting to Hopak whilst knee deep in jelly.

Not bad. I'm in an office, sat at a desk, doing officey stuff, but it's a new office, much nicer than the crappy old office. tHe people here are good to work with.

I'm next to the floor-to-ceiling window, and I can see Canary Wharf, Shooters Hill, the Thames, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Crystal Palace, The Shard, the North Downs, and the crappy old office.

Got the mo'bike downstairs and I'll be on it shortly, heading for the hills!

Epping is a nice place to be in general - lots of walking and cycling

Cheap hotels and motorway slip roads are not high on the list of trip advisor places to visit!

There are other places to go if you have a car - top golf is just down the round if that's your thing. There's also a Maccy Ds up the road with a soft play style climbing frame thing... you might be a bit big for that though...

Open plan office on a dull industrial estate just off the A14.

And in about 6 mins, I'll be joining the joyful throng on the A14 making their way home. I [s]love[/s] hate my commute.

I'm in the office.

A great big brutalist 80's council building, with bare concrete walls inside.

Our CEO is doing a drive by visit tomorrow and someone suggested they hide me. I pointed out that I can be polite when I need to be, I just don't see the need to be polite about the fact the bloke who's supposed to be dragging us out of this mess has deemed us worth of his presence when he should be doing some real work and I'm working the last month of my notice because when have none.

I'd take days off in Epping over this any day.

At work, looking out onto the farmyard - office is in converted farm buildings in the Scottish Borders.

It's sunny, blue skies and if I wanted I could ride straight out onto trails from the door. And if I wanted to I can be in the car park at Innerleithen in 20 mins for some enduro-gnar, but that was yesterday 🙂

I DON'T win.

I'm around the corner from you and an Epping regular, happy to guide you around the forest single track if you want a blast and we can make the time work, same for Road. If your around next Wednesday and fancy some racing the Beastway series will accommodate you.

There a Miller & Carter steak place up the road - go past Theydon Bois Tesco (with it on your right), all the way up the hill to the roundabout and you'll see it, and Gunpowder Mill/park is worth is visit.

Edit: Why didn't you stay in the Mariott?

I'm actually at the Bell Hotel just down the road from the Miller & Carter - might check out the Forest Lodge Motel next week to see if it's a bit more bike friendly.

If I manage to squeeze the hardtail into the truck, I'll give you a shout! I am usually kicking around from 1pm when I get up to 7pm when I have to get ready for work. Erm, certainly don't fancy any racing!

Cheers

I'm home now with an upset over-tired toddler who's jump bumped her head and can't stop blubbing whilst a constant stream of little 10 year old Dragons Den hopefuls take turns knocking on the door to offer to wash my car in fairy and grit or sell fruit well past its best - but this is relative heaven compared to the day I've had flying between Caerphilly, Newport and Blackwood picking up laptops from needle exchanges and methadone clinics for encryption whilst thier owners all try to dodge it, or wonder aloud why today, why so long, why why why me etc. I carried 11 in one go up 6 flights of stairs on legs that spent last night doing lap after lap of Forrest Fawr on a 'training ride'.

I've got to do it all in reverse tomorrow...

Im 8000 miles (give or take a few) away from the uk sat in a crappy building in the Falklands looking after QRA Typhoons, my work per day amounts to fitting 4 pins and then 10mins later taking the same four pins out. repeat once in the afternoon.

Its cold, wet, foggy and just downright miserable.

Oh and Ive got another 3 and a half months to do !! 🙁

Sat at the base of a UNESCO world heritage site, locked in my office with the blinds down, a/c cranked up full, ignoring people knocking at the door so I can simply get the last three weeks work which has been interrupted by various things done in the next two days.............but alas procrastination is also causing me to post on here. I will swap all this for motivation please.

The view is wonderful, my drive home, is fantastic, mountains and such like, marred only by there being other people around.

I'm currently sat in an office, in a fairly secure establishment full of quite a few undesireables.

I can't take a photo for obvious reasons but be assured the views aren't anything to talk about.

Oh, and to make it even better, I just waiting for 10 men to arrive and talk about how they commited some pretty serious domestic violence.

I defy anyone to be in a better place right now 😛
