An item on the US site is over £70 cheaper (£150 compared to over £220), but amazon.com don't ship to the UK.
Using a forwarding company will sap up all the saving. Is there any other way you can think of? I'm trying to recall if I know anyone in the states!

20% VAT on £150 will eat up nearly half of that and if you get charged a handling fee in the UK by the courier the rest will go to.

Get a Yank friend to buy it and forward? Deliver to a hotel if you're going across the pond?

must have changed their policy, I've ordered quite a few things from amazon.com to the UK in the past, though not for over a year now
