Was going to put the new bike on the insurance, happily it only adds on £3 a month, but they said they would need a proof of valuation etc if i were to claim.

How exactly can i do that with a used bike ? Something an LBS would sort ? It's not exactly a hard bike to find so i can get plent of examples of the replacement cost of a new one etc...

Advice please ?

IS the replacement new for old? If so the make and model if it's not modified else a list of the RRP of the parts added up. LBS can value but putting "market" on a used bike isn't an exact science and probably not a nice number to hear!!

That's a good Qn... i should confirm the new for old or not...

i don't mind if it's market value for market value as i'm buying it used anyway for what i consider a fair market value, so their estimate shouldn't be a million miles away.

Thanks for the wisdom
