I have to drive to Ireland later in the year and will have a small van full of bikes and general stuff. I'm toying with splitting the journey in Wales rather than double no my usual London to Kerry in one hit. Can anyone recommend a hotel with secure parking, the only one I know is the Celtic Manor, any thoughts?

Although not secured (if you mean barriers and patrol) the Premier Inn at Cardiff South has it's own Carpark overlooked by the majority of rooms (they cover two side of the carpark and the restaurant partially the 3rd side.

Radisson Blue Cardiff has an underground buzz for entry car park.
You can always backup into a corner to make it harder for them too.
