Am looking for a decent hotel in/around Covent Garden for the middle of May. Ideally with parking, have a works party starting on a boat next to the London Eye Saturday morning and want to spend Friday night in CG so somewhere local to both would be ideal.
Even though I am a tight Yorkshireman, work are paying for everything bar the hotel so I'm not to putting my short arms into my deep pockets and treating the better half to somewhere nice.
Cheers.
I like this one on seven dials.

Kingsway hall
Savoy just across the road
or try some of the Hotels near Holborn
which is one stop away or a 10 min walk to Covent Garden
How many hundreds are you thinking of paying per night? The Travelodge charges £130/night, and the Premier Inn at Leicester Sq charges £150/night, if you want something "nice" then budget £200 minimum and look for special rates via laterooms, expedia, etc.
Can't think of any around there that include parking, the few with their own spaces will charge at least as much to use them as the £35-40 per day that NCP charge. Don't forget congestion charge if you're coming into the zone before 6pm too.
Or look at Lastminute.com's Top Secret deals - they often shift 5* hotel rooms that haven't sold each day, but they won't disclose the hotel on the website so as not to tarnish the hotel's prestigious reputation etc...

I'm a tight Yorkshire man and booked the Travelodge in CG a couple of months ago for mid May, paying only £40 per night.
I stay in London Travelodges all too regularly, Covent Garden is one of the best in central London. The one in Bank is also nice, as are the relatively new ones in Fulham, Clapham and probably Vauxhall when it opens. If you want nice definitely stay away from KX and Farringdon, most of the others aren't too terrible.
Not all of the rooms are equally nice though, CG is split over two sites, with most of the family rooms in the building opposite the Evans on High Holburn, rather than actually on Drury lane. There's an NCP carpark under the High Holburn site and a private carpark on the Drury lane site, but the last few times I was there it was full of builders-vans.
Last minute Top Secret is a good suggestion, and dare I even suggest airbnb? I've always fancied staying here: St. Pancras Clock Tower.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned St Martins lane 😉
