We're a small business and have pitched for a big piece of work. Down to last 2 and client (4 of them) want to come for a further discussion. Our office is way too small, and client is quite formal/stuffy so need an appropriate venue (London Bridge/Waterloo).
Anyone used anywhere that's professional - we've looked and it's a fortune to get a hotel/conference type of room. Some restaurants have private rooms but prob too casual.
Any recos (in slight desperation!)?
Usually use Regus - they're the McDonalds of offices. The one in Athens had good views of protests outside the American embassy and best of all a demo that turned into a riot - it was the riot police protesting so not sure who they used to break it up!
When we last did this, we got a conference room at a Holiday Inn - wasn’t too expensive (about £500 I think). Worth it if you stand to win a large piece of business...
Regus have a building 5 mins from LB (down Tooley St) near t' waterfront.

Book a hotel room with a suite/living room attached - nice room service and a handy bar downstairs to celebrate in when you have won the contract/bought the coke or the client takes you up on the hookers/rentboys/goats that you sweetened the deal with.

the whole reason they want to meet you is to see how professional your organisation is and how big / organised etc it is. You might think is OK you don't have your own meeting rooms - they might not. There are many competitors to regus - e.g. look at i2Office if you want something more bling; but consider how it looks that you don't have your own space. An alternative is to consider any trade associations / partners etc which might have something (usually much cheaper). Institute of Directors on Pall Mall, Commonwealth Institute, RAC, all might need a membership but good venues.
