when I saw the opening post I thought ‘joke’. Must read more of the thread.
There’s a bike shop in Edinburgh which is very cool inside and will serve you a very nice coffee, but when my dad called to ask them if they could order him in some parts (Campag at least), their response was ‘yeah… we’re not really that kind of bike shop’.
His first response was to accuse me (working in a different bike shop at the time) and all others of perpetrating ‘hipster nonsense’ or words to that effect 😂
Hmm there are or were two shops that fit the brief. I can't believe the remaining one would come across like that the guy who runs Gamma Transport Division is really friendly.
I’m on a train with some students on their way to a festival. They have all the usual stuff - Tents, crate of beer, full rucksacks and a 2ft wide cast iron paella pan which, of course, they are pronouncing within an inch of its life when explaining to anyone that will listen what it is.
Made an almighty racket when it fell out of the luggage rack…
