Not sure how, but it seems that someone has registered dropbox and instagram accounts using my email address.

Was wondering if i am alone in finding others using their email address to register stuff? As an aside know that i have accounts what is the done thing, ignore, hijack etc?

Odd thing to do. Can't you just do a "Lost Password" request and claim them as your own?

oo, unless you're meant to do that and in the dropbox is an enticing file of Kylie pictures that you're meant to open thus giving access to your computers to the nasty men

be afraid....

Same happened to me with Photobucket a couple of years ago (I had never heard if it)

I changed the password and claimed it as mine.

(Nothing worth looking at unfortunately ๐Ÿ™ )

I still use I now and it's great ๐Ÿ™‚

i have requested passwords, so i guess the "owner" is now no longer the owner.

Any chance they were automatically registered to you via something else?

Someone on Facebook has registered their account using my e mail address, same name as me too.He was turned down for one of those payday loans and the company e mailed my address with all his personal details(bank, address, employer etc). I emailed the loan company, they were unconcerned. I changed the password on his facebook and posted that he should change his e mail address to the correct one but he hasn't bothered.I emailed Facebook requesting the same,no response.I had to set up another email account to set up my facebook page.
The most annoying thing is the amount of e mails I get about carp fishing balanced somewhat by the large number of scantily clad females who keep poking him and sending him friend requests.
