MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
I've designed a firepit/bbq for a company but we're having trouble getting one component coated to cope with around 600 degree temp. The bracket is holding a stainless plate which food will be cooked on so needs to comply with regs etc and not be toxic.
Anyone know of a coating that would work here and could coat 150 No. of these components in a hurry?
Enamelling was the best option but the steel is slumping in the furnace.
Ceramic coating perhaps?, i dunno if it is suitable for food applications but they may be able to offer advice.
Google zircotec ,it's what we put on brake ducts
Or camcoat it's what a more industrial company puts on exhaust headers and other bits it's also what made our chain rings pretty much wear proof
There is a high temp powdercoat but 600c may be pushing it.
