The HP you linked is £150 over your budget though? Of the laptop is going to be used on a desk most of the time I'd go go for the HP.
IF you're going to be using it on your lap a lot of the time then the Yoga.
What "everyday home use" requires "full HD"? For potching about on the web and writing a letter once a year, a £150 refurb from Cash Converters will do.
Honestly, you've given us nothing to go on other than "I want a laptop." Throw us a bone here, if I linked to a road bike, a HT and a full susser and asked "which bike, for everyday riding use, 2x11 gears a must" I'd get mauled.
