I have been suffering with what has been diagnosed as a trapped nerve, I have seen my doctor twice now, and been attending phisio and osteopath since September, I havnt been on my bike and been exercing only by walking, I went to see the doctor again the other day and he has finally sent me to a specialist(which I am waiting to hear from) The doctor phisio thinks it is stemming from my shoulder but the shooting pains pins and needles are going down my arm.
Not sure if anyone has had any experience of this but if you have I would be grateful for any ideas to relieve this, as I really want to get back to normal and out on bike

my misses does alot of horse riding and uses a tens machine to releive muscle spasms , she got a cheepish one on ebay seems to work well has spare pads and you can change the frequency / type of pulse it sends out .i was leant one when my back was spasming and i had a trapped nerve also .the only other treatment that realy relaxed the effected nerve and muscles in my back was acupuncture . id tryed physio and osteopaths which worked upto a point and got me moving again but for spasming i found acupuncture the best.

See what your doctor thinks about some gentle manipulation. I do like osteopathy but the evidence is slim.
