My music has started to stutter when played through the laptop, i know it's not the file as i've copied things to my MP4 and to disc to test and they are fine.
My PF Usage is 405mb from a possible 1109mb and my CPU Usage is about 5% though it does sometimes spike up to 28% which may explain the stutter but i don't know whats causing it.
I've got nothing else running either when i play music and there's nothing i can see out of the ordinary in the processes?
help as there's nowt on tele!

You still got the discs that came with it (assuming it was new)?
I would uninstall then reinstall your soundcard drivers if I were you. Should be on one of those discs or download them from the internet.
