I never thought it would come to this - the most annoying and pointless first world garden accessory may just be a necessity.
Having recently moved to a house surrounded by 3 sizeable oak trees, we are being bombed by acorns. Hundreds of the bloody things, you need a hard hat to go out in the garden. And this is before the autumn leaf fall.
Raking them all out of the herbaceous border is a pain, so a leaf sucker is looking like a good idea. Fits well with my increasingly middle class suburban lifestyle (yes I have a SUV now too)
If I promise to only ever suck, and not blow into pointless piles as the breeze redistributes them, will you recommend a garden vac? Preferably cordless and not 2 stroke as that really would piss off the neighbours.
Get some more squirrels.

A rash promise.
The best strategy is to blow the stuff up against a wall or fence into piles, then using a shovel to quickly scoop up most of it and then suck up the rest of the stragglers.
Get some more squirrels.
Then, when you become overrun by squirrels, get some snakes (copyright The Simpsons)...
Seeing you want to go cordless then see if there is a bare unit (no battery/charger) that fits your cordless combi drill.
or if you haven't got a cordless combi drill then get one of those from a manufacture that sells bare leaf blowers, you defo need one of those to do middle class suburban new house DIY stuff.
Recommendation also depends what other secondary tasks you want to do with the leaf blower.
-BBQ accelerator?
-Tailwind generator for Strava KOMs?
-Defrosting car?
