Nice so far but still hard on my calves despite having been trying to run that way for a while. They feel like slippers so I felt under-dressed; I kept checking to see if I had trousers on. Then since I only had tights on I started feeling quite naked....

Mrs flap getting good results with the Merrill barefoots. Too narrow for me sadly. Those look narrow too (I have a square ended foot) 🙁

Well to some folks visiting the in-laws is a sentence, but fortunately mine are great 🙂 Although I am still gutted that we went to Wisconsin in December and got no more than half an inch of snow 🙁
Re the shoes, I actually went in asking for the Merrells - they didn't have them but these are probably better as the toe is really wide. And yeah there are loads of benefits, google them 🙂
