So schumacher is back in a proper F1 car for the first time in 3 years. Then promptly shows Rosberg who his daddy is!
Very early days yet, but you gotta wonder....8?

Funny isn't it - people who are that competitive, by definition, just can't let it go. Lance Armstrong is another case in point.

Hard to tell in testing though
One of them could have been on full tanks, the other on empty or a thousand & one other things that affect the lap times

Yea the proper response to that is indeed, "its only testing". I don't doubt though that Schumi would very much like to be on top of every session. Even down to being happy to let Nico do the shakedown and then jump in the car once its a little bit more set up. F1 is a titanic battle, and every detail counts, including little shreds of psychological advantage (like taking the kid's race number for example!).

And they've changed the points system yet again- in the last few hours. Funny this- when Schumacher ran away with the title in 2002 they closed up the points to make consistency more important than the win, and the racing closer- this year they've continued going the other way- is this a reflection on the closeness of the formula in the top few teams- no single driver expected to dominate?

I think it is also to give the new teams some money. Having points going much further down helps with the "travel expenses" money that they get for each WCC point.

Also, the new points system will make it more important to go for the win.

Schumacher did some bike racing as a hobby.
