Bit of a cheeky one but bear with me...
Sis in law has just driven her car with bikes on the roof in to an overhead structure within the car park of a well known country store in Scotland. She has only had the roof rack 4 days so its almost forgivable...
The structure was repaired by ground staff while she was still on site and the the store was happy to call that the end of the matter. She received a fair bit of damage to the bonnet and its going to require some panel beating and a re-spray. As she described what happened I asked if she saw the restriction signage and she is adamant there was none. This got me thinking as to whether or not there is any liability on the owners? The ground staff also confirmed that this happens fairly often!
Any opinions or advice regarding law and liability is welcome.
Bikes were both fine 🙂
She should stop looking for someone to blame,
And look where she's going.
next time it could be a very tall child's face.
Any opinions
Yes, tell her to pay attention.
She should stop looking for someone to blame
This got me thinking
But your help is appreciated 🙂
Giraffe childs face. 😀
You should stop looking for someone else for her to blame.
🙂
I'm sure where theres a blame there'll be a claim. Is there not a sign at the entrance to the carpark?
There is a charity ride from Seahouses to Newcastle every year starting beside a car park with a height restricted (and clearly signed) entrance.
There must be thousands of pounds worth of damage done every year as the Audis roll up with their fancy bikes strapped to the top...
She doesn't drive the Orica-GreenEDGE team bus does she? 🙂
Glad no one was hurt
