I've just reclaimed the garage back from 10 years worth of utter junk, painted the floor, put new racking up and sorted a bench out.

I was confined to my man shed which is easily heated with a little fan heater, but it doesn't have the same effect in the garage. It's a largish double garage and I've been looking round for different ways to take the chill off.

Been looking at a few larger fan heaters similar to these:

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-devil-6003-industrial-electric-fan-heat

I do have a diesel fan heater at work but it's too noisy/big for the garage.

What's everyone else using that doesn't involve burning wood?

Got a Single skin brick shed.
Battened out floor and walls.. then insulated with 1" kingspan.
Ply lined with 6mm ply and 12mm foor.
Added a suspended ceiling with insulation.
Installed 2nd hand double glazed window and door.

Made a massive difference to the temperature that doesnt need heating.
Insulation is key....

Frig that, that's more insulation than my house has! Tbh it would cost a small fortune to insulate it.

Workshop has 15cm Celotex insulation on the walls / roof and 100mm under the floor.

run a couple of rads from inside the house.. put them in with trvs' on snowflake when your not in and open em up when your 'at home',
old rads are ten a penny if you pick them up from the side of the road, use plastic piping.. piece of cake.

insulate and eliminate draughts

It will cost a larger fortune to heat it. At least seal up the cracks and gaps and reduce the air flow to save you heating your neighbourhood instead of the garage.

MTFU?

My workshop is rather large so I went with theory that I can wrap up and get a constant flow of tea and/or, don't spend all night there.

Or spend a fortune putting in wood partitions and insulation.
