I'm just interested, I remember seeing a lot of whingeing when the gbp/eur rates changed that canyon's gbp prices didn't go down and how this was a terrible con for UK buyers.

I've not seen any whining so far that their gbp prices have gone up though so I'm guessing it was, as many of us said, a fixed published gbp price. so are the people previously complaining taking advantage of the current rate to buy a cheap canyon?

I thought your card doesn't get charged till the bike ships, by which time the rates will have changed again....

I would expect that Canyon are big enough to take some hedges on their currency exposure. They'll probably lock in an exchange rate for the year which would explain both why they usually seem a little uncompetitive but won't now have to change immediately. Expect next year's range to be significantly more expenisive if the rate stays low.

However, remember the Euro-£ rate hasn't changed hugely as both sides will be hit.

It's the USD rate that reflects our real costs -
