Liking the look of the ditto, but as I play mostly acoustic am I right in thinking I need a pedal I can plug a mic into (not got an acoustic amp, but have got an electro-acoustic guitar)? I'm guessing the Mic would be good to loop some percussion too?
Any and all advice gratefully received

Digitech Jamman here used with electric guitars. It Has 6.5 jack inputs and as it's stereo you can loop from two different sources. If you can't change the cable on the microphone for one with a 6.5 male use an adaptor.

There is a Ditto vocal looper - http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/pa-live/detail.asp?stock=14111116211232
And a couple of Boss units have mic inputs too.

That might work - though they're best with reasonably controllable inputs. I have a Ditto (two actually as they're great!)

...but have got an electro-acoustic guitar

Does it have a preamp in it? (Does it take a battery somewhere?) If so, you should be able to plug it into an electric guitar looper. It avoids the problem of a mic picking up the current loop when recording another "layer". I would expect the pickup in your guitar to capture the percussive bits, too.

(Akai headrush is very nice, but might be overkill.)

Fun things to play with.

An electro acoustic should be able to go direct to the looper. I'm another ditto user and think it's a great pedal, nice and simple.

Look up Anton Whalberg, he does a lot with loop pedals. I wouldn't have had clue what you were even on about till a few weeks ago having bee to one of his gigs.

Try this for bonkers... It's a five minute watch though. Make sure you give it time.

Watch from 4.23 onwards.

After knackering my shoulder on the weekend, loop pedals has sparked an interest.

Found this:

Love the idea of different melodies flowing in and out of time with each other.
