[Closed] Gravel Garden Track World

So i am sick of the grass (weeds and moss) and am going to gravel the garden.

I have taken up the 'grass' today and have a fairly level piece of mud. Do I:

a) put down anti weed membrane and then throw gravel on the top.

b) put down anti weed membrane, whacker plate an inch of type 1all over the top of it...then throw gravel on the top.

To confuse matters further i will be laying a path of sandstone flags (that I already have at home) on top o the aforementioned membrane with wet mix. Not sure if this makes a difference at all; opinion all appreciated!
