'fraid not, just use mine for vids. Take the camera for photos.
I got one on the weekend. Haven't seen footage yet but the battery life was terrible. It was coldish (8-14 degree's...yes Summer) but didn't last the day. Duracell.
Get some rechargable batteries, I think it even says on the camera not to use alkaline ones
