I got a Hero Session for my birthday. I managed to connect it to my phone no problem, and gave the camera a name as prompted. But I don't seem able to connect it to my iPad using the app. The pairing procedure seems to work ok, but then the iPad, in Settings, recognises the camera by a generic name - GoPro 9876 or something - while the app recognises the camera by the name I gave it, but then prompts me to go to the iPad Settings and do something. It's like the app recognises the camera by one name, and the iPad recognises it by the generic name. Is this why it won't pair?
OK, sorted this problem by realising that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not the same thing 😳
Now the videos won't download onto my iPad saying 'Failed: Video not supported'. Can this be solved?

Check uner compatibility, some may require a preview to be generated. Or just load it on a PC
Cheers mike. Sadly that's the app I've got that doesn't like it. I'm sure there's an answer...
It seems the answer is that my iPad (a 4) only supports low resolution videos, and all the ones I've got at 60fps won't work with it. Which is not handy.
Yep all the * are the caveats....
Once I worked out the angles I rarely use the app, just load them onto the computer for editing
Think I'll have to steal the wife's laptop.
