So, a small fortune in gold coins has been found inside a piano when it was being retuned

My question is this: why is it either the crown or the original owners who get the loot, and not the people who bought the piano containing it or the piano tuners who found it?
The original owner I can understand, that's actually fair enough, but if not them then it goes to the crown?? (I'm assuming that this means the state and not specifically her maj)
I guess because the coins were considered deliberately hidden, and the sale of the piano didn't stipulate that it included a hoard of treasure, it places the find in a bit of a legal grey area in terms of ownership.
So THATS WHERE I PUT THEM!!!!
Can I have them back please?
😆
