I am thinking of buying a Go pro 960 and can not find out any where if or how I could put the footage onto my Sony DVD/harddrive so I could then put the footage onto a DVD. I would like to not have to put the footage onto my Mac just to get the footage onto a dvd.

The data has to be transferred from the camera manually. If you mount the DVD/hd to the the mac and also plug the camera into the mac you should be able to simply drag them onto the hd.

Can your mac not burn DVDs? Most people would edit the footage before ripping to dvd.

You'll need to use the computer to burn the dvd as it probably won't come off the camera in a dvd format (afaik gopro's record in MJPEG, DVD is MPEG-2). Not sure what free dvd burning software there is for mac but I'm guessing there'll be something like Windows DVD Maker which will convert it to the correct format and allow you to make a menu for it, and then burn.
