More detail required then!

So, I get an email in my Gmail and I want to reply to it. I clicks the "Reply" button at the bottom of the email.
The text from the email I am replying to appears in the reply box, below the blank space for me to type in, like in my example above.
I don't want this!
Email me from your gmail account and I'll show you!

That's called email. Replies contain the previous email at the bottom?

Or should I say.... "welcome to the internet" 🙂

The only reason you may find other clients dont do this is because they have inline forwarding turned off and send the old email as an attachment. As far as I've seen (not that it's ever bothered me enough to take notice) all clients copy the original either inline or as attached. Surely you want the previous contents there as context? And if not, just delete it. Or better yet, stop hitting reply when you want to send a fresh email? 😆

I thought you didn't know what I meant.

It definitely didn't do that before, with all the > symbols.

I'll edit too then. I can guarantee I've been using the internet longer than you, so more help less smartarse please. Ta. 🙂
