In laws have had a new Glass fibre roof fitted and they are complaining of it being noisy.
I've not been round to hear it yet, but they say it wakes them up its that loud.
Anyone any experience of this? Any idea how to resolve this. The company that fitted it Everest <shudders> have been listening to their moans so far but not coming forth with a solution.
hmmm mine is noisy, like an occasional knocking kind of noise, i thought it was due to expansion and contraction with temperature change... interested
No noise here. I put expansion gaps in to allow for movement in the heat, though. Only noise is when it rains. Its noisier than other materials then. Planning to cover it in sedum pretty soon so that will stop too.
how did you put expansion gaps in?
By not butting the plywood up tight and putting a fold in the glass on bigger stretches.
