In Inverness try The Kitchen or The Mustard Seed. I preferred the Mustard Seed

Try The Boath House in Nairn for Inverness. Was there last week and it was absolutely amazing. Could stop off at Aviemore and do the Old Bridge too. For a bit of an adventure there's also the Corrour Station House which involves a train journey from Fort William and back.

Inverness, The Joy of Taste. Fantastic. Or Rocpool or the italian next to it. Oban, it can only be The Waterfront. Mmmmmm....

For Aberdeen I'd say the Courtyard or Fusion for places in town.

Inverkeilors not half way between dundee and aberdeen....

And gordons is/was overhyped over priced posh cuisine, it gets its hype because most of the rest of what arbroath has to offer is shite/generic

If your near there then butt and ben at auchmithie would be a far better place to eat.

I believe deep fried battered pizza should be available in all the towns you named.

Lime Tree is good, as is Russell's in Spean Bridge. Apart from those, I'd suggest a packed lunch.
