It won't be everybody's experience, unfortunately... but a superbly-written article by Henry Porter, in tribute to the writer Gilbert Adair. In many respects, it's not about the NHS (or the merits of any particular healthcare system) at all - so much as the interaction between complete strangers.

Makes a change from nurses being slagged off by the [i]Daily Mail[/i], anyway.
