Turns out that 8 pints on a school night was a bad idea.

I'm seriously struggling today at work and not even a bacon sarnie has stopped on the onset of felling horrendous. Luckily my bosses are out and no one sits behind me, also im on top all my work so pretty free to do what I want.

Biggest decision of the day is what to have for lunch?

Coffee and a Mars Bar has got me through the morning so far.

So very tired. And my shins hurt.

You know you're hungover when water straight out of the tap tastes amazing.

A pint of course, you fool! Then another. Hair of the dog is the only answer, I'm afraid. Pubs are open in just over an hour. Enjoy 😀

Feel sick at the thought of a Macies. Can't booze as driving home and think even a shandy would put me over the limit.

Solpadeine Plus, ibuprofen, coke and music on the headphones. Then I pretty much stare at the screen and zone out for a few hours. Usually feeling better after lunch.

A cheese and onion on a crusty roll works for me - very tasy cheese and loadsa onions!!

Maybe a Minestrone soup to rehydrate you.

Greggs. 3 pasties and a Steak Bake should do, with a bottle of Coke.

Powerade is always good too. It's the blue in it. Blue is good for you.

Greggs.

I must be in the only urban environment in the country that is not within a quarter of a mile of a Greggs 🙁

3litres of water on my desk, packet of gingernuts.

feel completely wiped out, probably down to trying to answer the MD's questions about a funding strategy at 1am when he was sober and i definitely wasn't.

anybody want a gingernut?

Can I stomach a pastie? It might be worth the risk.

I can't drink poweraide, not touched the stuff since the 2009 Great North Run. They were giving the stuff out like it was going out of fashion and I couldn't resist.

Walking into town now. Chips and mushy peas sounds tempting.

Also found a card receipt from a bar I'd forgotten we went to - I think it might have been the magic 10 pints last night!

White Milky Bar Buttons are awesome hangover food.
Basically just pure sugar.

I use them as a Primer to set me up for a proper Bacon Butty and a sugary milky tea.

I feel your pain and then some OP.

Exactly the same intake as you (8 pints) has resulted in the 3rd worst hangover I've ever had. For numbers 1 and 2 I didn't get out of bed all day; this time I'm at work 🙁

If it makes you feel any better, I spewed twice before leaving the house and have just managed to eat something for the first time today... Hmmm did someone say sugary milky tea? Could maybe handle that.

8 pints! MTFU!

What you need is a KFC Variety Meal, extra Hot Wings and a large Pepsi.

Failing that the Greggs option mentioned above always helps.

I too have a hangover from hell whilst at work. On the food front I have just had a Double Jumbo sausage in a roll and one of those Berocca Vit drinks. It hasnt worked, I still feel like death, in fact I'm looking more and more like Fatima Whitbread by the hour!!

Went for enchiladas and chips from the local cafe and some orangeade. Hopefully it will do the trick!

Similar situation here - although only 4 pints last night (but i'm weak these days)

Have been self-medicating with a mix of
Bacon roll
Aspirin
Ibuprofen
opelfruits/starburst
coffees
ginger beer

Seems to be working ok so far

I'm struggling, too. Loads of red wine last night, not enough sleep and had to do a presentation on 'what is marketing' to a bunch of very nice but very hungover builders at 9.30.

Think I might tidy my desk. Again.

If that happened to me I'd only weigh 3 stone. I've just had sausages rolls and....erm....more sausage rolls 😀

Oxygen (15l, non-rebreath mask)
Metaclopramide
Paracetamol
Ibuprofen
Full fat coke
Water
(I.V. normal saline at a push - shouldn't be required after just 8 pints)
