First gig I ever went to was Gary Moore at Sheffield City Hall.
Mindbogglingly good.

The guy was a genius on a guitar - this 11 minutes is just breathtaking;

He used to do a regular Sunday slot at a pub about 2 miles from where I live. I didn't know about it until his obituary appeared in the local paper...

Awesome, thanks for posting that, Gary Moore was a huge influence on me as a guitar player. RIP

As much as I like his later/blues stuff, unlike the rest of you I really love his early solo stuff and later Thin Lizzy stuff (I know that puts me in the minority!).

raceface - you need to check out his album 'Blues for Greeny' which is a tribute to his idol, Peter Green. Amazing stuff. 8)

Still can't believe he's no longer with us. 🙁
