[Closed] Garmin Connect MacOS help

Don’t shoot me if the answer is obvious but I’m relatively new to MacOS. I’m trying to create a course in Garmin connect on my MacBook from a GPX in my downloads. The problem I have is that when I try to select the file from connect it’s greyed out. I think it because my iCloud is full and for some reason even though it’s on my computer it won’t let me upload it unless it synced to iCloud. Is there a setting on the MacBook I can change so it uses downloads on my MacBook and not my iCloud.
