whats the pro's and cons for both
thinking of starting to grow are own veg etc.not flowers but mainly fruit and veg for our household.
Greenhouses are much better at keeping the heat in but cost more and can break easily if you have kids with footballs etc. You can paint the glass opaque if needed in summer and keep it clear in winter. A Poly tunnel can be massive though so if you've got the space or have an allotment its a good way to extend the growing season with your regular stuff - not just tomatoes, cucumbers, chillis etc.
Always try to get the biggest you can afford for your space. Its amazing how easily you'll use up what you have. If you go polytunnel search google for DIY jobs. I've seen a few of these built from spare mains water pipe and they work really well.
