My girlfriend doesn't believe that STW knows EVERYTHING.
So, I'm looking for recommendations for garages that know their way around a VX220, preferably in the Glasgow area.

There's no such thing in the whole world.
I was amused when I took my dad's to the garage for an MOT - they lifted it up to get underneath and have a poke around and quickly put it down again when they realised it's just a sheet of aluminium...
I seem to remember they also had some fun trying to get the CO2 sensor thing up its ridiculous exhaust.

That's odd, I was under the impression that the VX220 was actually [i]built[/i] by Lotus, on a production line right next to the Elise, with which it shared a lot of common parts, particularly the chassis, continuing the association that goes back to the Lotus Carlton, the fastest saloon car available at the time. The VX220 is an Elise with creature comforts, rather than a “poor man's Lotus"
It's not really a sportscar though. 911s are the only real sports car.
a 911 is ok if your a hairdresser .
The only 911 that can be considered a hairdresser is the covertible.
Vx220 is actually supposed to be a better car than the elise as it is far better equipped. Only setback for me is the vauxhall brand
Lyndsays in Dumbarton are pretty good, as i believe are kerr and smith in cumnock who are also a thorney motorsport dealer if you fancied tweeking it at the same time 😉
