It comes up smaller than the normal G Shocks. So not quite so in your face. Quite discreet. Not as small as a Baby G though, somewhere in between. Comes in different colours too. You can see the colour versions on amazon.

and the digital version... might not be atomic or solar... but quite nice and big.

Never understood why you would take a reliable watch and stick mechanicals in to it.

I recently bought a GW-5510-1JF

Solar and multi-band 6. I love it. More accurate than my mobile.

I'm thinking of getting rid of my ProTrek PRW5100 if interested

Had my G-2900 for 10 years or more now, original battery but could probably do with a new one, the light doesn't work anymore.

I've never owned anything that's come close to being so reliable or taken so much abuse.

Oh, it appears to think it's Saturday.

I think Lotto got it in one. I'm currently wearing that very watch and like it a lot. I probably wear it more than any other watch I own, lovely bit of kit.

I picked up on of these recently, fully analogue with a StSt/Resin case and strap.

I really do have a problem with watches.

My work/general tatting about beater. Doesn't do anything fancy - was about £70 from Argos

GW4000

Or how about something from the Protrek range:

PRG-600[img] [/img]

The digital Protreks generally have larger numbers than G Shocks.

I wore a G-Shock for years and was happy with it until I bought a smart watch - currently using a Garmin Vivoactive HR.

The extra data that it provides is really interesting and a charge last a week or so.

Do not think that I will ever go back to a normal watch though I really like the MT-G in LeeW's post above.

Never understood why you would take a reliable watch and stick mechanicals in to it.

My mechanical auto Seiko is easily as reliable as a G-Shock, certainly it's more reliable than the G-Shock that's sitting unworn upstairs, because the Casio gains around a couple of minutes a month, and sitting holding a stupid little button in while it wound s l o w l y r o u n d a n d r o u n d and I slowly lost the will to bloody live while resetting the time just pissed me off.
It's an analogue display, not unlike the one lotto linked to, because hands are so much easier to read quickly at a glance than digital, but Christ, couldn't they build in an option to reverse the hands when it runs fast?

Another vote here for the G-Shock 2900 watch. Got mine off eBay for about £20, it's been way more reliable than anything I've owned previously. That said, the last watch I had which lasted for years and years was also made by Casio.

I miss my DW-003, stupidly attached it to my bars and got ripped off then lost the chassis before I could fix the strap lugs. If they released another G-Lide range I would have one in a heartbeat, much prefer fabric to rubber.

Got Lotto's suggestion of AWG M100SB 2AER and also got the G-2900 for my Dad from the http://www.watchshop.com/

Excellent service BTW from the WatchShop if your thinking of getting a watch.

Some pix of my Casio G-SHOCK Alarm Chronograph Watch AWG-M100SB-2AER before it gets wrecked.

GW-6900. I always thought it would be too big. It's not, ultra reliable, always spot on and loud enough alarm to wake me up.
And you don't look like a terrorist.

Mine is Casio G-Shock GW M5610 1ER.
This is the best watch for me as it covers all that you want and different time zones. 😛

I've got a couple but this is the best:

GW-A100AER

Best watch I've owned. 100% reliable, totally accurate due to radio timing.

I have a g shock that has been relegated to being my DIY watch. As a result it was looking worse for wear in terms of being splattered in a variety of different paints. As a test I thought it give it a wash by sticking it in the dishwasher - 2 hours later and it came out looking great and fully functional 😀

You can't beat a g shock!
