I am having a load of plastering etc done to my new house and was thinking of getting some tv and hifi etc cables chased into the wall in some trunking to keep everything looking nice and clean (It's not really going to cost me), so what do you think I should stick into the trunking?

HDMI
USB
Coax

Cat5?

All the rest suffer from signal degradation over any significant distance.

nothing's future proof, get it cabled up with accessible runs so that you can add and remove cables in future as suits.

Speaker cabling round the entire house froma central point. Conduit with pull thrus. TV aerial cabling.

You need to decide what you want and where you want it now
