Worthing was quite good.

Although the junior doc who insisted on pushing my knee into my chest to 'prove' there was nothing wrong with my leg did have the decency to look a bit sheepish after the x-ray showed a femoral neck fracture.

He upped the pain relief from paracetomal to morphine too at that point, which was nice.

Ipswich has had a lot of my business over the years, but I think my favourite has to be my current local: Hinchingbrook in Huntingdon.

I've been there only a couple of times for myself, but they have taken care of my wife well when she broke her wrist. Then broke her leg. Then when her broken leg got infected.

Ton, no it's about half way between your guess and PP's, seems Yorkshire hospital architecture is very similar. Working class chic.

Having been in AOSTA hospital in Italy for a week waiting for repatriation with aforementioned brroken leg I can only say thankyou for the NHS! Italian hospitals were like the NHS from the 60's (like a carry on film, cue traction weights knocked over ....trying to communicate to the nurses that a no. 2 is urgently waiting in the que ....the most random and disgusting food combinations....)

Steppoing Hill was amazing!

meehaja- got it in one. Just goes to show that you don't need the latest building and toys to give a first class service, the staff are brilliant. Contrasts with my old hospital, Stafford, which has done it's best to finish off my mum.
