Hi all,
I'm supposed to be starting a Masters course on Monday at Sheffield University, and in the process I've been done over by pretty much everyone.
I was first told that, as a Postgraduate I'm guaranteed a place in uni halls, so I thought I was fine. Last Thursday they sent me an e-mail effectively saying "you were never guaranteed anything and you won't get anything now." Monumentally stressed and p*ssed off, I had to quickly find a student house in the private section in an area I've never been to. Got that done in the end, but the contract doesn't start until 1 October, so I had to find accomodation for two weeks.
My cousin, who's in the area said she could put me up for that time, however her housemate has already brought her boyfriend round and taken the sofa space without really consulting her (even though it's my cousin's flat), so that's no use anymore.
For whatever reason the uni can't be bothered to/can't help, so I need recommendations for cheap B&Bs close to the university if possible as I currently have a mobility problem. Thanks in advance.
