Reminds me of the time I saw Borat in the cinema.
It wasn't censored with black lines when it was in the cinema.

Brian Jacks! God that takes me back. My best mates dad was the absolute double of him and used to get asked for autographs wherever he went!

Can't embed video on iPhone.

Sunderland Tuesday night glamour tie with Coventry. I love the way that Gary Bennett thinks that if he just mingles in with the rest of the team again, that he might not get sent off.

the first half of the video shows the earlier punch up that got Kidwell so riled up. Bear in mind that Willie Mason (on the receiving end of the hit) is a *BIG* fella...

Edit - d'oh, STW strips out the marker that takes you to the Big Hit at 1'01, never mind, the punch up is part of it I suppose 😉

Yeah, shoulder charge, I wouldn't say that's a pwn, just an illegal tackle.

This is how you pwn someone in rugby

It is now. It wasn't then.

Willie Mason was making a big deal about the Haka before the match which riled the Kiwis. IIRC he was subbed off shortly after that

What is the story behind the punch photo (black and white) that Samuri posted?

Some sort of strike blocking the road during Paris-Nice. Hinault wasn't very happy about it

edit: this

Fair enough! (maybe!). I did enjoy the Kiwi's reactions to the hit though!

Great pic Atlaz! Everyone, including the baby in pink, saw it coming, but not the bloke who got it!

The look on the face of the guy who is wearing the black t-shirt is the best part of that picture.

the guy with the kid on his lap is the best IMO - women and children, err, last

Yeah. It was in France so the dock workers were striking about something, probably not being allowed to wear cricket jumpers to work.
Anyway, Hinault was doing really well at that stage and it ruined his advantage so being the badger, someone had to suffer. In the ensuing fight Bernard *allegedly* received two broken ribs and still came third.

Possibly the finest 10 seconds or so in Rugby World Cup history.

Weird how Lomu doesn't look that big compared to the current generation - even for a winger.

Ok, try again. Can't embed the video for some reason but click link for Dean Mumm with a huge handoff; would have been straight red if it was a tackle.

zippykona - dammit, I could have sworn Lomu only played against England in one world cup, so I didn't check too closely!

Although he strolled in so easily, he probably had time to get a hair-do along the way... 😉

I loved Will Carling's dazed interview after that match

He's just a freak and the sooner he goes away the better

Julian Dicks's penalty vs Manchester United in 1995ish.

I've never seen a ball hit harder.

The classic Lomu was playing Scotland in the 99 WC, Scotland were playing in Orange and Lomu was tackled/upended by his opposite number who was a wee chap, crowd went wild. Lomu gets the ball in space and you could see him looking for the chap, he was like a terminator locking onto target 😆 the small fella didnt do so well second time.

Wasn't it that Johnson came steaming in after the try was scored and cut Lomus lip?

Wrecker's second picture is awesome. Reminds me of the Monty Python "It's only a scratch" scene! "It's only 4 Welshmen"!!
