La Plagne and Meribel are actually pretty close to each other.

I should think the best way to do it will be to get the bus down to Moutier and then back up to Meribel. Ive got the bus down to Moutier before and theres one called the Trans-Isere, i think, which was pretty cheap. They have a website but its in french and my french is quite honestly rubbish.

But bus to moutier and back up will probs be best and you will be able to just book in resort, thats what i did.

Is it possible ski from the edge of La Plagne into the 3 valley's?

Not sure of the route but looking at some maps it doesn't look like a huge distance!
