tried mapcustomiser but it is flaky with UK postcodes
Zeemap is loads better but free use only gets five maps
essentially need to map less than 100 locations with colour coded markers and descriptions, multiple variations on themes so need> 5 maps
any suggestions?

QGIS with postcode data (CodePoint) from the OS open data

Qgis. But, you will need to go through the tutorials as it is designed to be very flexible si can look confusing first time round
