I posted a reply to a thread last night which seems to have vanished, was the downtime last night resolved with a restore which lost a few posts?

I got loads of 502 errors last night. Thought I'd lost a post in the bikepacking weight thread but went back through my browser history for the tab until I found it and reposted.

I was guessing there was an update being deployed, but not seen any change for the limited usage I have on this site. If it wasn't an update then it seems to have properly fallen over...

I just got Bad Gateway when tried to browse to the forum, so gave up.

Bad Gateway here too. Assumed the hamsters were being fed.

About half way down the list of threads I've got a random link to "chat forum."

(I always just view all threads together)

Oh yes, me too! I thought it was just mobile browsing broken, but this is on a desktop.

Lots of 502 last night.

That chat forum thing seems to be a link to a random thread when you click on the latest reply. Possibly it goes to the latest reply for any thread on the Chat forum?

It could help people with the FOMO by always showing them who has just said what.

There was some oddity yesterday. They are cleaning up what that can today, some staff were in the office until 1am last night trying to work on the repairs.

Sorry for the outage.

There was s closed thread yesterday, round about the time the 502s started happening. I wondered if someone had attempted some sort of hack.

Same here. As I was having trouble sleeping I even got on the desktop and the whole site was down for a good hour. When it came back up for a bit everything was formatting terribly then it went down again. Did the trick though, went to sleep easily afterwards!

We had some server problems yesterday that began at 7:18pm and then vanished at 2:30am. We are trying to work out what it was and are still mopping up some of the changes we made while trying to keep the site up until we called it a night at 1am.

Sorry for the downtime guys. I'll update when we have more info.

Had the same 502 gateway message last night, would be useful if any site access issues were posted up on the stw twitter page.

@mark, shit happens, we understand. not an issue from that point of view, just wondered where my post (and some from others apparently) went. If you had to restore from a backup then that would explain it. @somafunk's suggestion is a good one though for future reference - I did check twitter but there was nowt showing

@mark

I am now getting a 403 'forbidden' on the site on my mobile browser (opera) even though the desktop site is back up. Just checked, working fine on mobile Chrome.
