Why won't the back button work and why when clicking a link in a post does it not open in a different tab/page?

If you're using Firefox - simply set it to open links in a new window
not sure about IE

Works fine for me. Where do you find it borken?

Why would it? Standard browser behaviour is for links to always open in the same tab/page.
If you want a link to open in a new tab in firefox then you just middle-click on it.
