Just spent ages trying to diagnose a problem with my headset, play no matter how tight the star nut cap was... I thought I was going mad until I suddenly remembered I had forgotton about the compression ring that goes in the top. What a noggin!!!
At least it saved the next ride turning into disaster 🙂 really need to make a check list next time I build up a bike.
