Yes, that's what most people forget when they deride kids these days for being sat in front of their PS3 etc.

If I'd have had that option, I probably wouldn't have left the house either.

Very good that. I was born in 81 but still everything mentioned resonates.

I remember all of that. Even the 'pope' and his speedboat ๐Ÿ˜†

Happy days!

It's even better when you mute it and play Paul Hardcastle's 19 over the top of it.

Nun nun nuna 19.. ๐Ÿ˜€

scary...Hartley Hare.

Agreed. He was an unkempt psycho nutjob that was clearly necking a couple of grams of speed on an hourly basis. Bagpuss was a secret psycho, too...

Shouldn't this be on VHS, not YouTube?
70's were a shit decade I thought. Life was a lot better last couple of decades- well, till the last 4 or 5 years , anyway.

I always thought Hartley Hare was more of a pervert than a speed freak, only in the Jimmy Saville era could Hartley Hare be considered suitable children's entertainer ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Paul Hardcastle - 19

Can you imagine today's day time tracks on radio 1 getting played 30 years from now and sounding as fresh?!

The memory of ol' Tommy Cooper popping his clogs on live tv makes me a bit sad. I still remember it quite clearly - the crowd laughing him off. Quite shocking when they returned from the ads and Tarby broke the news.

Took its toll on Jimmy T, though...
