When your coffee has been dispensed, do you stir it or just drink it as it comes?

I always stir. Espresso is striated, not homogenous so to blend the components I give it a good stir.

For some reason, I naturally stir anti-clockwise.

Just bear in mind Stainless steel spoons are conductive and therefore lower the drinking temperature.

Derek, surely you mean swirl? Only a madman would stir.

However, just checked and apparently James Hoffman (who shall not be questioned in his coffee advice), says to stir! Carry on.
