Footie mad son, would love to take him to a London based Premiership game for his birthday in April - how's the best way of getting tickets? Not too fussed about which teams, more the thrill of a top game!

1. Pick a club
2. Go on their website
3. Go to ticket sales bit
4. Either order online or phone ticket office
5. Wait for tickets to come
6. Go to match

for clubs like fulham and west ham you would be able to buy direct from the club I'd imagine.

for the big clubs prepare to have your wallet well and truly battered...

Look out for a game with offers of "kids for a quid", depending on how old he is.

Edit - West Ham v Blackburn, 7th May (bit late) is kids for a quid.

You can also go and see the statue of Bobby Moore with the world cup outside for a spot of football history

If you are not fussed about the club, go for Fulham. Small friendly ground, cheaper than most of the other London Clubs, but a chance of some good football.
All you'll need to do is call them up or book on the website. No need to join stupid clubs like you have to with Man UTD before you can even register interst for tickets.

Although I'd highly recommend visting Villa Park as ticket prices are still fairly cheap and you get to see the Mighty Villa....

Does it have to be the premier league? There are plenty of clubs to choose from in London, and the ticket will be a lot cheaper at your local football league team - none of that corporate matchday experience and £5 hotdogs! If it does have to be premiership, bear in mind that Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs will probably be difficult to get into without being a member of some kind (look in my post history for a recent thread on Arsenal tickets).

thanks all ... had tried some of the biggies and put off by having to join / price! Fulham looks promising. And Premiership will give him the thrill having seen some of the players on MOTD

Taking my son to his first game on Saturday - the Mighty Bristol City. £25 for me and £16 for him.

I expect a lot of 'which ones are Spain?' He's struggles with the whole club team / country team idea...
