If you wanted to face any team in a final it’d be Spurs

We’ll finish 15th or 16th in the league, because we’re absolutely shite, but somehow win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League next season, because that would just be the most United thing ever!

Spurs have outplayed United for the past few seasons but yeah, they’ll bottle it in the final. Assuming they make it, given the Bodo goal….

I bet UEFA are ecstatic that the likely finalists of the Europa league are presently sat in 14th and 16th in the EPL having spent the season getting turned over by Bournemouth and Brentford

It really gives the competition some credibility

Daughter went to an international gymnastics event in Bodo last summer. The population is smaller than the capacity at White Hart Lane. I would love it if they turn over her uncles team!

Pity to see Lamine Yamal go out but I've a feeling we'll see a lot more of him. Cracking game though.

Strange to see an Italian side forget how to park the bus when 2 goals up! Great comeback though to win it.

As a Leeds fan and kinda following Bradford because of friends, this game has blown both of them out of the water. What a game!

But will we see more of him passing to his team mates? Greedy and lost the ball more than anyone else on the pitch because of it but an incredible talent for any age, let alone 17...

Arsenal, the Netflix of the EPL. Just when you think something might be about to happen, you have to wait for another season.

another random stat - PSG have as many wins in 2025 against EPL opposition now as Spurs.

Just discussing with Mrs Binners which one of the two donkeys in Spurs or United - both of whom have been getting spanked by everyone in the Premier League all season - would fare in the Champions League next season against the likes of Inter, PSG or Barca.

Theyd be looking to get into double figures!

Be careful what you wish for. Being honest, spuds are welcome to qualify and go out in the first round with a GD of -15

Might win a game if drawn against a Kazak side who travelled 23 hours on a mega bus.

The way Sir Jim is cutting costs they may well find themselves on a Mega Bus.

It’s no more than they deserve. If they were paid on results, they’d be hitching it there

A shame Arsenal are out as according to Mikel Arteta they’re 100% the best team in the competition. Not with Martinelli annd Trossard up front pal. Also spouted some nonsense the other day about getting more points than Liverpool did this season in the last two seasons and not winning the league.

And if we’re doing funny stats set piece specialists Arsenal, who have a mural of the set piece coach, have apparently conceded the most set piece goals in the premier league this season!

Well, one thing it proves (again) is that Arteta is a very, very bad loser

Well looks like 2 English teams in the mid table obscurity final. I hope the trophy is a large Sports Direct mug.

So here’s a question. If Chelsea win the Conference League but finish 6th, and Utd/Spurs win the Europa which team has had the ‘better’ season. Obviously the team which loses the Europa final has had a mare.

I mean I probably don't have anything to worry about, because it's them, but I'm starting to get slightly concerned that my daily pick me up twitter account is looking in danger.

Nice to see both Utd & Spurs getting some good form before their final, given their next games against Chelsea & Villa respectivelyI don't see an upturn in form before then.

What do we think? 0-0 after 120mins then some terrible pens?

Well done Southhampton, not the joint worst team ever.

How strange as a Forest fan to be gutted by a 7th place finish after the last couple of seasons...

Dropping points to Leicester yesterday was somewhat galling and also nuts to look at Villa's last two games, Man Yoo and Spurs, and think, well that's torn it.   Was really hoping for a showdown against Chelsea on the final day.

Anyway, here's to hoping there's another twist or two in the last couple of weeks.

I’d keep your head down if you’re sat in Row Z. It has the potential to be the worst match ever played. As they demonstrated yesterday, both sides are absolutely woeful.

If you look at their terrible, leaky defences then it should be a goalfest. However, neither  has a player capable of hitting a cows arse with a banjo.

I’m going to go for extra time and a winner on 124 minutes, god knows who to, with a goal that is an over hit back-pass, that then takes several deflections, before dribbling over the line, having bounced in off the goalkeepers arse

In August Villa must’ve looked at the fixture list & thought they had a tricky end to the season…..

Bonkers that the toon have a very realistic chance of 2nd place. Even more mental to think some (admittedly the more unhinged hysterical ones on social media) fans were calling for Howe to be sacked at the beginning of December.

Amazing too there are rumours of Man U trying to sign Tonali for 85M. Why would the toon sell one of their top 3 players for only a 30M profit when they've reportedly got 200M to spend in the summer? And why would he want to go?

The great thing about it being Maguire is that it could be either end!

Shame for Forest but it seems like they’re running out of steam. Win both games though and you never know. West Ham away is very winnable then Chelsea at home on the last day could be winner takes 5th? Still clinging to hope that City and Chelsea miss out - but City should win their games.

City 'should've' won against Southampton - depends I think what happens on the cup final.

It's rubbish that there are Premier league games to play after that. Stupid scheduling - also **** the Club World cup bollox - complete waste of time.

I’ve got money on Palace to win and Eze to score, so that’s the first half of the bet paid out 😃

No way is he going to be at Palace next season

As a city fan i am disappointed, but fair dues to Palace, they worked their socks of today and had the quality when it mattered.

Newcastle and Palace winning the cups, and how close the race for Europe is, its been a good year for the competitiveness of English football.

I wasn't paying attention properly so may have misheard the stat, but if I heard correct by failing to win last night, means ManU will go through the whole season without winning two league games in a row?

Nice one Palace! They’ve looked really good in the second half of the season. Thoroughly deserved. They only conceded one goal the whole campaign,

I’m really chuffed for Dean Henderson who hasn’t had it easy time of it and was treated pretty shockingly by United. He played a blinder today

So much for the Superleague and the so-called ‘Big Six’

Thats not aged well, has it? I’d like to see anyone try to make a case for that after this season

Henderson should have been sent off. The reason that he wasn't "that the ball was moving away from goal" was because he flicked it with his hand outside his area.

It was a decision made by someone determined not to "ruin the occasion" rather than apply the laws of the game. How can a keeper use his hand outside the area to take the ball away from an opposition striker and receive no punishment? No card, not even a free kick.

The ref was not even sent to the monitor to review.

instead of being sent off Henderson stayed on to save a penalty - which should have been retaken as he was yards off his line when the ball was struck - and make other saves which effectively won Palace the game.

City played poorly and posed little threat against a deep defence but they won because of incompetent and possibly corrupt officiating.

Meh. I’ll just get the world’s tiniest violin out for Citeh. They’re so hard done by, aren’t they?

I liked what Henderson said to Pep, which apparently led to a bit of a hoo ha. “You got the extra ten minutes you wanted, so no hard feelings” 😂

When they flagged up ten minutes, in unison we said ‘where the **** has ten minutes come from’? So you can file that with your referee‘not wanting to ruin the occasion’

The extra ten minutes quite clearly came from the "injuries" that Palace milked in the second half.

City were clearly hard done by today. The rules of the game were completely ignored at Wembley today. That is a simple fact.

I would not expect any objectivity or common sense from a United fan. Enjoy life with your great owners and next season's relegation battle.

Prediction Manyoo will be the lowest placed "United" in next year's table.

Whatever. I’m fifty quid up 😃

They’re looking pretty shit. Let’s give ‘em another ten minutes to see if they can get their act together.

Should we rename Fergie time? At least he’d generally do something with it
