My Swedish mother in law has been to stay with us.
Last night she made spaghetti bolognese . She made it in the traditional Swedish way ( apparently) with ginger powder, soy sauce and cream as well as tomatoes etc. The final insult was when she served it , she preceded to squirt approx. 8 tablespoons of ketchup on the plate , chop up all the spaghetti and sauce and mix it all in with the ketchup. I'm still squirming at the thought . Just needed to get it off my chest, this has deeply affected me.
