I’m in the process of booking flights to Geneva for a trip to Morzine in the summer. Is the single baggage allowance of 20kg and 1 bike going to be enough? I understand that I can only pack my bike in the box with sleazy jet, but will my pads, full face helmet, spares, clothes etc weigh less than 20kg? And if it weighs more can I buy the second bag allowance at the airport (without having to drop my trousers!). Thanks.

Last time I flew easy jet with a bike (summer 2009), I chucked shoes, shorts, pads, helmet, camel back and gloves in with the bike and didn't have a problem. Box was a couple of Kg under the limit and they didn't open it.

I think you will get royally rogered if you have to buy extra at the airport.
